Classic, Hybrid, and Volume Eyelash Extensions Differences
When they applying for eyelash extensions, your lash stylist may recommend classic lashes, volume lashes, mage volume, easy fan lashes and so on. If you are new to the world of eyelash extensions, it's normal to get confused at first. There are so many different effects that can be achieved with each type. All eyelash extensions make your eyes look bigger, brighter without the need for makeup. But what is the difference between them? Now let's talk about all the differences between them.
Classic Eyelash Extensions
Classic eyelash extensions are where one extension is applied individually to one natural lash. This gives a classic lash set a 1:1 ratio. This style is the original method, and while still a very favored style in the market, it is lacking some strengths for certain individuals. Classic lash extension application typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours (if someone tells you they can do it in under an hour, it’s not a good sign). The result should be soft, natural-looking lashes your friends won’t know isn’t just a great mascara.
Volume Eyelash Extensions
Volume lashes (also known as Russian volume lash extensions) were invented by Russian technicians only recently. And involve applying a “fan” of lash extensions to one lash. So, instead of the 1:1 ratio of classic lashes, you may have a 1:3 or 1:5. This is how the luxurious volume is achieved! A lash stylist will create a fan, customized to you, in a variety of ways.
Hybrid Eyelash Extensions
Hybrid lashes offer you a varied texture and a wispy, natural lash line with a little drama. The look is achieved by mixing classic lashes and volume lashes placed strategically to frame the eyes. The lashes are very soft, hybrid lashes represent the best of both worlds with a more natural, ‘messier’ look achieved that is less uniform more like how natural lashes grow.
If you’re unsure about what would work better for you, ask your Eyelash Technician. Extensions can be completely customized to what you are looking for. They can be as dramatic or as natural as you would like them to be.
