Removing Eyelash Glue with Steam

Removing Eyelash Glue with Steam

How to remove eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent glue that is used to attach artificial lashes to natural lashes. It is important to be careful when removing false eyelash extensions, as not handling them carefully enough can tear off your natural eyelashes as well. Here is a step-by-step guide to removing eyelash extensions.

Removing eyelash glue with steam
1. Pour a few cups of boiling water into a bowl. Pour 3-4 cups (710-946 ml) of boiling water into a heat-resistant bowl. If you have a face steamer, you can use the steamer instead of a bowl.

2. Place a towel over your head and place your face on top of the bowl. The towel absorbs the steam and helps reduce the stickiness of the mascara glue. But don't get too close to the water or you will easily burn yourself, but don't get more than 40cm away from the water either.

3. Steam for 3-5 minutes. If you want to reduce the stickiness of the glue, you need to steam it for a few minutes. You can set an alarm clock so that you won't steam for a long time.

Steaming your face with steam not only removes the eyelash glue, but also cleans your pores.

4. Remove the outer edge of the false eyelashes. Adequate steam weakens the stickiness of the eyelash adhesive. Gently remove the false eyelashes by uncovering them from the outside. If there is any glue left on your eyelid or lash stalk, gently wipe it off with your finger.

5. Wash your face with cold water, then apply moisturizer. Steaming your face will open your pores, so it's important to let them close again. Wash your face as usual and finish with a cold water rinse. Pat gently with a towel, dry your skin and then apply your usual moisturizer to cover the surface of your skin

6. Use the steam method up to once a week. If you wear false eyelashes many times a week, don't use the steam method to remove them every time. Regularly steaming your face can cause redness, sensitivity and acne. Alternate the steam method with other makeup removal methods to protect your skin

After eyelash extensions are applied, the false eyelashes will grow with the original eyelashes, but sometimes one of them looks particularly long, so you may want to trim it shorter. When the curled part of the tip of the false eyelash is cut off, the thicker part will look less natural and lose the beauty of long, curled eyelashes.

Since the black glue used for eyelash extensions is a professional adhesive with very strong adhesion, there is a high chance that if you remove the eyelash extensions yourself, the original eyelashes will be forcibly removed because you cannot control the grip. If the original eyelashes are forcibly removed by external force, the hair follicles will be greatly stimulated and may even be damaged, making it difficult to grow new eyelashes in the future, and even if new eyelashes grow, there is a high chance that they will be crooked.
