Lash Thickness Things

Lash Thickness Things

We mentioned the lash length and curl in our last two blogs, today, let's gonna talk about lash thickness! You'll be asked about thickness when you getting lashes, hope will help you out if you are confused about it. So here is a guide to help you be prepared for your consultation and understand what your lash artist does while your eyes are closed.

Eyelash Extension Thicknesses range from .03mm to .30mm. Thicknesses of 0.20mm or above are being phased out in the lash industry worldwide because they are too heavy for most natural lashes to support.

.03mm, .05mm and .07mm

Extremely thin and extremely lightweight and used on very thin/very fine natural lashes.

.10mm

This thickness can also be used on thinner very fine natural lashes.

.12mm

Used on thinner lashes or for a softer wispier look and feel.

.15mm

This is the average lash thickness, creates a naturally thicker look.

.20mm

This lash extension thickness creates a natural mascara look.

.25mm

Creates a more striking glamorous look, this lash may be too heavy for most people’s lashes.

.30mm

For healthy, strong, thick natural lashes. Creates an extreme look – again, it may be too heavy for most people’s lashes.

Long, thicker extensions are not always the best – The extensions used should be slightly longer and thicker than your natural eyelashes. The thickness of your natural lashes will affect what we can put on as extensions. Too thick, too long, or too many can damage your natural lashes. Most of those who have experienced damaged lashes have had the wrong type of lashes applied by an uneducated stylist. Excess weight and length can cause stress on the natural lashes and result in the natural lashes breaking or prematurely shedding.

Eyelash extensions are created with different diameters for different purposes. Too much weight on a natural lash will cause breakage to the natural lashes and possibly permanently thinner/shorter natural lashes.
